Global OLED TV sales in the first three quarters have exceeded that of last year

The latest data from Omdia shows that the sales growth of OLED TVs is obvious. It is estimated that the global sales of OLED TVs in the second half of 2021 will be 3.77 million units, an increase of 53% compared with 2.46 million units in the second half of last year. Previously, Omdia estimated that OLED TV sales in 2021 would be 5.8 million units. At the end of June, it raised its estimated annual sales to 6.1 million units. Recently, it raised its estimated sales to 6.5 million units.

 

Global OLED TV sales in the first three quarters have exceeded that of last year

Omdia expects global sales of OLED TVs to be 4.24 million units in the first three quarters of this year, surpassing the 3.65 million units sold in the whole of last year. In the global high-end TV market above $1,500, OLED TVs are also making up a growing share. Market research firm Omdia estimates that in the third quarter of this year, global OLED TVs accounted for 45.7% of the global high-end TV market above $1,500, an increase of 12.8% compared with 32.9% in the same period last year.

According to data from Omdia, global OLED TV shipments in the second quarter of this year were 1.475 million units, a surge of 159% compared with the same period last year. Even though the second quarter was a seasonally low season, it still reached a record high.
