At 22:00 on February 5, 2020, ZTE received a notice from the Wuhan Emergency Office that it needed to open the video conference system as soon as possible in the city’s key patient medical institutions, including 26 key municipal hospitals and 3 key district-managed Fangcang shelter hospitals. After receiving the notice, ZTE quickly mobilized technical experts, market plan experts, engineering experts, and engineering personnel from the Wuhan Government and Enterprise Office to set up a Wuhan emergency video conference team to find out the current network situation of the Wuhan Municipal Government, and formulate configuration plans, engineering plans and Delivery strategy, clear group labor into battle.
The expert members of ZTE’s emergency video conference team completed the confirmation of the networking plan and engineering configuration within one hour, and worked closely with relevant units to complete the equipment configuration within three hours. At 3:30 a.m. on February 6, ZTE worked closely with its partners to use private vehicles to deliver equipment from the centrally configured warehouse to key medical institutions in the city.
Through the concerted efforts of all parties, at 7:30 a.m. on February 6, the ZTE Wuhan emergency video conference team completed the distribution, configuration and commissioning of 22 sets of equipment in the near urban area. One hour later, the distribution and configuration and debugging of 30 sets of video conferencing equipment in key medical institutions in the city were completed, and the opening of video conferencing systems in 5 key medical institutions was completed. At 18:00 on February 6, the last two video conference terminals in Tazihu and Jinyintan hospitals were opened.
So far, the video conferencing systems of 3 makeshift hospitals and 26 designated hospitals in Wuhan have been opened within 24 hours and delivered to customers.
