Shanghai, China, March 17, 2021 – Toshiba Electronic components & Storage Corporation (“Toshiba”) today announced the launch of the “TCD2726DG” miniature lens-type CCD linear image sensor that enables high-speed scanning on A3 multifunction printers.Engineering samples[1]Bulk shipments started today.
Currently, there is a growing demand for A3 multifunction printers with higher scan speeds. TCD2726DG can improve performance by higher clock rate to meet demand: its data rate is up to 100MHz (50MHz x 2ch), while Toshiba’s current sensor data rate is 70MHz (35MHz x 2ch)[2].
To avoid the negative effects of increased electromagnetic interference (EMI) caused by faster clock speeds, the new sensor employs a clock generator circuit and a CCD driver with a lower pin count. This reduces EMI, timing adjustment work, and the number of peripheral components for customers, facilitating system development.
Main features:
100MHz (50MHz×2ch) data rate, CCD linear image sensor
Built-in clock generator circuit and CCD driver for easy system development
Low power consumption: 10V supply voltage for amplifier circuit drops to 3.3V[3]
application:
A3 multifunction printer, automatic optical inspection equipment
